This book was written in a simple, easy to digest, easy to understand format. It effectively covers the application of materials in manufacturing. In addition, it explains value analysis and manufacturing process design in a clear and concise way.I am glad I bought this book and will recommend it to all engineers who will either want to work in manufacturing in future or would like to practice.

It was worth every penny I spent on it.

Must have book 1 Mar 2003
By Mo TOP 1000 REVIEWER VINE™ VOICE

This title is an mechanical/product design engineering under graduate must have. The depth of the context is staggering.

This book is practically four books in one. Sections are under Material Principles & Practice, Manufacturing with Materials, Structural Materials and Electronic Materials. The title is packed full of industrial knowledge, and the usual mathematical formula. There are plenty of exercises to try out, which can give a far better understanding of the topics covered.

The book also comes with index card style reference. These cards have notes and diagrams showing manufacturing processes - ideal for those exam revisions.

This book is worth every penny.
