A pretty routine adventure/romance set in Corsica with nice location shooting, featuring a very innocent-looking Bardot (aged about 18) in her first major film. If you love BB and are curious to see how she looked before she developed her trademark pout and wiggle, you will not be disappointed; otherwise don't bother.

The film has very little to offer other than a teenage and unspoilt BB. In fact BB is the film as the idyllic settings are not well captured in black & white.
It is a collector's item for fans who have enjoyed different aspects of her acting.
Her fresh young voice and her natrual acting proves that her years in The National Superior Conservatory of Paris for Music & Dance has paid off.

The movie has its interest but the main point is to see Brigitte Bardot very young. I did not understand the title in French -
Manine, fille sans voiles. Which "voiles"? I have not seen nothing about it in yhe movie.
The collectors will be glad to see the former BB, in route to become a star. She is always charming and sympathique.
