FUSCHIA SHOCK: Amazing colour but MESSY
on 19 March 2016
PROS: looks awesome, easy to use, clear instructions
CONS: messy af
i LOVE the results from this dye.the only reason it doesnt get 5 stars is because it makes a MESS.
when i dyed my hair id never done it before.
i used Bleach London's DIY dip dye kit to lighten the ends of my very dark brunette hair, so when i applied this my hair was a yellow-ginger blonde colour. I left the dye on for just over an hour. it is VERY messy. my hair is long and thick and I dyed about six inches of it which used just over half a tub - you get a good amount of product.
it came out darker than i expected, it was quite purple/plummy on darker parts of my hair, but was awesome. its been about 3 weeks now and has faded to a much brighter pink, more like how i expected it to come out in the first place. i did however mix a small amount of the dye into my normal conditioner to try to make the colour last longer (as reccomended on the manic panic website)
but i got it ALL OVER EVERYTHING, my skin and bathroom. it takes a few days/showers for your skin to stop being pink but it will go eventually. the instructions say to rinse it out til the water runs 'almost clear' but i am telling you now that this will never ever happen. a lot of colour runs each time you wash your hair as well.
because the colour runs so much when it's wet it means that all your towels will be ruined unless they are black probably.if it's wet it will stain your skin and clothes and bedding and everything it touches. it has also turned my white bra straps a gross purple-grey colour just from brushing against them frequently (not wet). even when i straighten my hair, and i spray heat protector on it, my hands are pink by the end of it.
so i'm kind of over it staining everything but overall i would reccomend it because the colour is amazing and so it's worth it
(the pic is when it was freshly dyed)
