This mobile plays a sweet, almost calypso, version of What A Wonderful World and features soft, furry jungle animals - a giraffe, hippo, lion and tiger - rotating around a smiling sun. Ok, so only one of those animals actually lives in a jungle really, but we can overlook that fact!

The arm and cross bars are plastic, the cross bars being very lightweight, a good thing if the mobile happened to fall on the baby. The arm is spring loaded and so just clips to the side of the cot - there are no permanent attachments. This means it is easy to install and portable, but does lessen the security of the attachment a little.

My 2 month old baby enjoys listening to the mobile and watching the animals slowly rotate, but it doesn't calm her to sleep - she finds it a bit too exciting! Perhaps other, less easily impressed babies would be gently lulled to sleep.

We were given this as a present. Initially we used it over the changing table without the music box because it hung so low. Since our baby has moved to the cotbed it simply can't be used because it almost touches the mattress! Not very practical at all despite having a fun (and slightly ironic) tune and cute furry animals.

We were given this as a present and were thoroughly delighted to receive it... it looks and sounds wonderful and was fascinating for our newborn. Unfortunately, the musical box started to breakdown after a couple of months... losing the odd note here and there until the tune was distorted and quite disturbing!! A shame because it really is a very attractive looking unit, but movement and sound work together, so once the sound had gone it became a hanging cot decoration (we liked it too much to discard).
