Lots of Babes 5 April 2008
By Douglas R. Teener - Published on Amazon.com
Format:Paperback
Not only are there 50 manga babes, but there are tips on setting up your studio, a good list of materials, and books and videos of the best of manga/anime to review. The only problem as I see it is that the book is heavily oriented towards digital work instead of hands-on drawing. Each section (babe) has a particular set of tips, which are helpful, but it would have been better to have more of these, even at the cost of increasing the size and cost of the book. I would be willing to pay more for more advice.

Good for coloring 2 Mar 2011
By Austin - Published on Amazon.com
Format:Paperback|Amazon Verified Purchase
Book is pretty good, but the title is a little misleading. Notice it says DRAW and Paint....well pretty much it doesn't cover the drawing process at all. It explains breaking the art down into simple shapes, but most of the time it just tells you trace the picture then color it. Now coloring it covers a pretty good amount, and its easy to see how most of the amazing details we love about Manga inspired pictures are really just well placed shading and highlights. Kind of helps my art skill out a bit, but still book wasn't what I expected. So it's awesome to learn to color, terrible at teaching how to draw.
