Product Description

The Manfrotto MP3-D02 Pocket Tripod is an always-on support that is ready to use in any situation. It fits all larger cameras (with and without an interchangeable lens) with the standard 1/4 inch tripod attachment screw. Once installed and folded it almost disappears and the camera can still be stored in its pouch thanks to the ultra-slim and compact design. Anytime you need to hold your camera in a specific position the three legs with no-slip rubber feet can be independently set on any surface to provide maximum stability and security. The all-metal structure and the strong springs give a steady and safe support.

This is a handy little gadget, and highly portable. Thanks to other reviewers, I knew before I ordered it that it would be unlikely to cope with the weight of an SLR. Certainly the item I received will only just support my CSC, and it simply collapses under the weight of my 5D Mark II, even with a lightweight lens attached. However it is good with a compact, which is what I bought it for. For me, it loses a star for the product description (it should not pretend to be suitable for an SLR), and it loses another star for being overpriced: this is a very simple bit of plastic and metal, made in China and probably costing a matter of pence to produce. Looks nice with the Manfrotto logo, though!

I bought it to protect the underside of my 6D camera. In order to take some of my images I sometimes place my camera on wet, muddy, rough surfaces such as bricks of a wall etc. It keeps the underside really clean. The legs will only just support my camera with a 50mm prime on the front, anything else and the tripod does the splits. It does what I wanted it to do. I was not disappointed when I started to use it.

Ideal mini tripod for my Panasonic Lumix FZ150. I keep it fitted all the time and it folds away to nearly nothing when not in use.
