This came as an included accessory with my new 055MF3 tripod.
Essentially its a carry handle that clips on to the column of your tripod. Combined with a quick release loop that offers the twin functions of keeping the legs together during transit, and allowing you to hold your camera bag as added weight on the tripod to give extra stability.
The quick release clips to attach to the tripod are standard swivelling snap hooks, well made, but nothing remarkable in themselves. To fit this strap to your tripod, just make sure you have two loops for clipping on, my legs have one on the top, and one on the bottom of the centre column. The main grab strap is adjustable for length to suit most tripods. This also allows at its looser settings to be slung over the shoulder (just about).
The grab handle itself is a moulded plastic affair that is really comfy to use. The construction is best described as sturdy, and the materials used are excellent.
As such this is a great solution to the problem of having a grab handle for transporting your tripod. However personally for out and about a bit more length so it could comfortably fit over a shoulder would be better (the main reason I gave it 4 stars, and not 5).

As you would expect from a Manfrotto accessory, this product is very well made indeed. It feels tough and durable, without sacrificing any comfort. The carry handle is sturdy and made from a ribbed rubberised material for a good grip. I use it with a Manfrotto 055XPROB, but it could probably be used with other models and even different makes as well.
The strap is exactly as you see it in the picture - it does NOT extend except in the most trivial fashion possible, and it CANNOT be used as a shoulder strap. All it does is add a carrying handle to your closed tripod, keeps the legs together with a quick-clip velcro loop, and doubles as a weight hanging strap to stabilise your tripod when fully extended.
There is a snap clip at either end. One connects to your tripod when the strap is in use as a carrying strap, with the velcro loop going around the tripod legs at the other end. The other snap clip can be used to clip onto a camera bag for use as a stabilising weight, or connected to the tripod if your model has a suitable connector on the legs.
All in all a good product, but I would have appreciated at least some scope for extending the length.

I bought this strap for my Manfroto 190XPROB. I wanted to carry the tripod on my shoulder but the fancy strap was too short and only allows to carry on hand. So it didn't serve my purpose.
