Tricky to set up, but rock solid 11 Jan 2011
By Gift Recipient - Published on Amazon.com
I've been on a quest to find the best version of Linux. I've had it with Windows. I had Ubuntu for several months, but it had some serious problems with my video card, so I was stuck in low graphics mode. I tried several others including Fedora and Open Suse. I wanted all my media files to work, so I came across the Mandriva Powerpack with Fluendo. At first, my printer wouldn't work. After spending hours trying to fix it, I decided to copy the OS on a DVD, download the free version of Mandriva because it worked on that version, then use the full version as an upgrade. It fired up after that. I now have an operating system that reads all my media files with full 3D accelateration that runs 5 times faster using 1/3 of the resources.
