5.0 out of 5 stars astounding 28 Sep 2007
Format:Paperback
This is just the most astonishing stats book I've ever seen. If you're a
United fan and/or are into stats you have to have this book. Not only is
there a teamsheet for every competitive United game ever played (nearly 5000
of them) plus attendance, scorers, subs etc; but also another 800 (yes,
EIGHT HUNDRED) pages of stats cross-referenced every way you could imagine.
United's results on every day of the year; a listing of which teams each
United player has played every one of his games against and in which
competitions; and so much more. It has just got to be the most comprehensive
collection of United stats that could ever be assembled and is absolutely
fascinating in the depth of information presented. Want to know anything
about United's matches or players - it's all in this book. An unbelievable
book and an ABSOLUTE MUST-BUY. Could be the best £12 I've ever spent. And a
proportion of the royalties go to charity as well !!

4.0 out of 5 stars Excellent book, but !!!!!! 10 Jun 2008
Format:Paperback
This is without doubt an excellent book, but as the book went into such detail, i think it lacks in 2 areas.

When subs came on in a game, the book should have stated who was taken off....it doesn't!!!

When the goalscorers for each game are given, there is no mention of whether the goal was from open play or a penalty. In other words, where a goal was scored from a penalty, it doesn't state that it was a penalty.

4.0 out of 5 stars Manchester United : The Complete Record 1 Oct 2008
Format:Paperback
I totally agree with the previous comments of 'Irish Red', ie : the book SHOULD have given WHICH player(s) were subbed off/who replaced them AND details of penalty scorers. Apart from that it is a good, well researched book on the club.
