Product Description

Relive every game and every goal of Manchester United’s historic 19th League title-winning season with the spectacular new Manchester United Season Review 2010/11, a must-have memento for every fan of the Red Devils.
Fantastic footage and exclusive interviews bring to life a wonderful season that saw Sir Alex’s men fight off challenges from local rivals Manchester City, defending champions Chelsea and Arsène Wenger’s Arsenal to clinch their 19th League title, overtaking Liverpool to become the most decorated club in English football.

As well as Premier League glory, the 2010/11 season also saw red flags flying high in Europe, with Manchester United overcoming Chelsea, Rangers, Valencia, Bursaspor, Marseilles and Schalke to reach their third UEFA Champions League final in four years. Manchester United Season Review 2010/11 celebrates a season that had everything, from Hernández’s instant impact and Rooney’s 100th Premier League goal to a thrilling derby victory over Man City that included Rooney’s stunning overhead kick. It also includes vintage performances by the evergreen Giggs, Van der Sar and highlights from the Champions League Final against Barcelona.

Extras:

•    Little Pea, Big Future
•    Giggsy: He’s Won It 12 Times
•    Paul Scholes: 17 Glorious Years
•    Extended Premier League Trophy Celebrations
•    Open Top Bus Parade
•    MUTV Player of the Year Awards

1.0 out of 5 stars Quite awful production! 21 Jun 2011
I'm more upset than angry after watching the MUFC 2010/11 season review. Like many people, I buy the review every year, whether United have won any trophies or not. Ridiculous camera angles, sudden slow motion and the worst of all Berbatov's overhead kick against Liverpool is reduced to farce as he does the hokey pokey with the ball - on, off, on, off in slow motion. The producer will get a shock reading all these poor reviews as I can imagine they were congratulating themselves on what they thought was such a beautifully crafted piece of filming. They don't understand the football fan. Even more disappointing, was there no one at United checking on this? Frightening!

Other annoying aspects:
1. Only seeing the face of the player when scoring a goal.
2. Treating the fan with complete disrespect in barely showing Liverpool and Chelsea away. What's all that about? You have to see everything, warts and all, to understand the whole season. Don't treat me like a child.
3. Profiles of players showing goals that are still to come as the season unfolds.

I have a dream! The hierarchy at United in shame release a second version of this DVD and don't break the golden rule. SHOW ALL GOALS AND SEVERAL SECONDS OF CELEBRATION FROM THE MAIN CAMERA ANGLE ONLY!!

Don't buy this! It's just too upsetting!

Jim

1.0 out of 5 stars In one word: Pathetic 5 July 2011
By landerb
This is the letter I sent to MUTV and MUFC Ltd.:
"Dear Manchester United Football Club,
I am 19 years old and a life-long fan of the club, and with that I love to purchase as much merchandise as possible. Since the 1996-1997 season I have bought every season review DVD and I am frankly appalled at how shockingly bad this production is. And it's for a number of reasons; Why, oh why choose amateur, childish, aggro-fan-esque MUTV commentary, instead of professional, full-time and generally better SKY/ESPN/MOTD commentary? Is it because the club has no money and therefore we need as much home advertising as we can get?
Also, even after choosing this pathetic commentary, the production team still insist on giving us a handful of 5 second snapshots of the game, showing each goal from every angle, without any build-up, and with disgusting music playing over it all, not to mention the lack of any kind of reply for goals scored by the opposition, demonstrating child-like bias..
Frankly, I think you should be ashamed of yourselves, as thousands of passionate fans like me look forward to this DVD as soon as the season ends, and you have let us down. Badly."

1.0 out of 5 stars Utter rubbish 18 Jun 2011
As someone who has collected end of season reviews since they first came out, I was looking forward to veiwing the latest edition. I had heard about odd camera angles and music but decided I would keep an open mind when watching it. To say I was disappointed is an understatement. Whoever edited this DVD seems to think showing goals, without actually seeing the ball enter the net, is a great idea. I beg to differ.
I found it to be a very poor offering and can only hope next season will concentrate on showing the action without trying to be "arty" in the process

1.0 out of 5 stars Poor
Every game feels like you're being rushed through it with the very short highlights and awful camera angles.... Poor DVD and nowhere near as good as previous season reviews.

4.0 out of 5 stars Man United Review
This was a good overview of the season, and good for posterity, but it's one of those things that outdates fast. Still good viewing.
