About the Author
Ivan Ponting is an experienced journalist who has penned some 30 books on football, not all of them on the Red Devils. He has contributed extensively to the club's matchday programme and official yearbook, and has co-operated closely with the Manchester United Former Players' Association. He has collaborated on works with Bill Foulkes and John Doherty, while books with Gary Pallister, Wilf McGuinness and Sir Bobby Charlton are in the pipeline. He also writes football obituaries for The Independent newspaper and, with David Foot, was the joint recipient of the National Sporting Club's Cricket Book of the Year award in 2007 for Sixty Summers: Somerset Cricket Since The War.

What a brilliant reference book, it's crammed full of player info, opinions and stats concerning all of the significant players to have graced the reds over the years. Add in some great pictures aswell and this book is a must have.

Excellent. Beautiful quality and full of informative information and anecdotes.P S if you are too young to remember Duncan Edwards, just look at the photo on Page 73 and see who he resembles today (but twice as good!)
