Tori Amos introduces Midwinter Graces

Tori Amos has an extraordinary fan base. It’s not unusual to hear her listeners explain how a song changed their life, through its ability to alter perspective and heal. Or even that a song might have saved their life. Since the release of her debut Little Earthquakes 20 years ago in 1992, where she smashed apart boundaries with her piano rock and raw, confessional poetry, Amos continues ... 5.0 out of 5 stars Subtle, yet fantastic... 9 May 2006
Format:Audio CD
First of all, as anybody else who attended this gig would tell you, it was a bit of a shock, in that Tori, for some truly odd reason, decided to play on her own, instead of with drums and guitars. Whilst this restricted a lot of what Tori could do, it gave a much more intimate feel to the performance, which is clearly visible on this CD. All in all this is a really great recording, the quality is as excellent as you could possibly expect, and whilst 'The Beekeeper' sounded a bit dodgy, despite Tori's best efforts, there are some absolute crackers on here, including 'Original Sinsuality','Horses', and my personal favourite Tori track; 'Carbon'. Definitely worth picking up. :)
