Chapter on Goals is a must read,
By A Customer
This review is from: Time Management (Self-development for managers) (Paperback)
This is quite an unusual book, since some of it is about being organised, having systems and lists, and has down to earth things like ideas for ways to beat procrastination and interruptions etc, while other parts of it are suprisingly motivational. Books which do one or the other but not both aren't much use, being either too boring to too fluffy. I thought the chapter on goals was the best - a very good summary of a subject that has hundreds of woffly books written on it. I read this chapter on the chriscrofttraining website first, and then decided to get the book. Well worth it.

Who would have thought a book on TM could be so powerful?,
By A Customer
This review is from: Time Management (Self-development for managers) (Paperback)
I've just been to a course presented by Chris Croft hosted by Eras training. I thought what he was saying was so good and interesting that I got my company to buy a few copies of his book, one of which I am part way through. I feel "Time Management", though accurate, is a misleading term, because it really is about "What do you want to do with your life, home and work?" and then shows you how you can reach these objectives. I don't often come across something so fundamentally useful.I recommend it to everyone (ignore the Management word - it isn't really anything to do with Managers, it is to do with living the life you want.)

A brilliant guide to how to identify and achieve your goals.,
By A Customer
This review is from: Time Management (Self-development for managers) (Paperback)
This is one of the best books I have ever bought. It is excellent on standard office time management problems - such as procrastination, meetings and interruptions - and gives a variety of strategies to try. The chapter on how to identify tasks and appointments as useful and/or important was enlightening! In addition, it helps you look at your life from a broader perspective, identify goals and then achieve them. I found the questions to help you identify what you want very helpful - I'd never been able to pin down specific goals before but found it easy using this chapter. The book is clear, easy to read, easy to refer back to later, and full of useful ideas - I would recommend it to anyone!
