A bit quirkier than I was expecting, and that is always good. Very slow-paced though - almost grinds to a halt in a few places, although picks up a bit of speed (and a much needed does of humour)from the middle onwards. Also, despite a winning performance from Steve Zahn, it's never that believable that Aniston has fallen for him. She always just seems wryly amused at his antics. I don't think she was right for the role really. She's okay though, if you suspend disbelief.
But it is nice to watch a romcom that isn't quite as formulaic as the average Hollywood effort (see New In Town [DVD] [2009
] for a nice rom-com but with cliches aplenty). If you like the genre, or either of the leads, you'll be entertained.
And if you like Steve Zahn I can recommend the late 90's rom-com Happy Texas [DVD] [1999
], which also has Jeremy Northam - bonus!
