If you like horse racing then this is the book for you. Walter Farley tells the story of Man O' War (the best racehorse of all times) from the very begining to his retirement, I loved it and could not put it down,it tells you a lot about raceing a must in the horse world.

5.0 out of 5 stars A Thrilling account of a Wonderful Horse!, 19 Feb 1999
By A Customer
Walter Farley's father took him to see Man O'War when he was young and it gave him a wonderful insite and ability to write this book, I read this book over and over when it came out in 1962 and I love it still. It is a full account of the life of this great horse though the eyes of a fictional boy who loved him. Highly recomended to all ages!

5.0 out of 5 stars one of the greats, 5 Jan 1999
By A Customer
Man o' War was a great horse and still is a great book. I've always been fascinated by horse racing. Most of Walter Farley's books are fictional and the Black and Satan are to good to be true. Man o' War's racing career seemed like as much of a fairy tale as his other characters' but it is true. I love this book. I believe there will never be another horse as good as "Big Red" to set foot on the track.
