Not since the early Bridget Jones days have I enjoyed reading about a character so much. Children's shop manager Lara has been given the dubious of honour of being chosen as maid of honour to the self-obsessed bride-to-be from hell, Janine. Skinny Janine has ordered a dress at least three sizes too small for Lara and doesn't think there is a chance on earth that her cousin will fit into it, or indeed snare a date for the wedding in time. Lara intends to prove her wrong. Romantic, fun and a laugh a minute.

I'm really getting into these Marisa Mackle books now. I am not much of a big reader but since getting a kindle I am easing myself back into it. This book, like the other ones from this author made me laugh out loud a few times. Poor Lara is haveing a terrible time on the dating, and her cousin who is getting married is beinga complete bitch to her. Lara ia a lovely heroine and I found myself really hoping she would met somebody nice because she deserved it. I was sorry when the book came to an end because it really did take over my life for the couple of days when I was reading it.

I really enjoyed reading this book, it epitomises what chick lit comedy is all about. I found it interesting from the start, quickly getting into Lara's narrative. It is light hearted and will make you smile, and is an absorbing read. The characters are easily related to, and there is a great mix of the good, the bad and the villainous!
I would recommend this to anyone who is looking for something easy and fun, and wants some interesting reflections on modern day dating in Dublin.

Irritating

Light hearted, funny and easy to relate to!
I really enjoyed this book. It was funny, fast paced and really easy to relate to. Well written and enjoyable to read. Definately worth the money!
