Product Description

Telling a highly original story with a fresh and engaging style, this is a book that is different to any that you have read before. You are about to discover a modern myth that will draw you in completely. Stan is an ordinary man whose story includes some quite unusual perspectives. His life flows along its turbulent course with rapids, twists and gentle stretches, while the man called Stan tries to stay afloat and to find some happiness and meaning. Every reader can relate to Stan as he flounders in the currents and seeks fulfilment while splashing about. The reader is held hostage by the tale, having no choice but to follow it avidly, the characters stepping out of the pages as they come alive. Most importantly, the strands of philosophy that tie the story together offer something substantial for the reader to take away. This is a gem that you will certainly enjoy, and it will leave you with more than a smile.

About the Author

Jay is a young man who loves to write and share his thoughts with others. Literature is an art, and should not be driven by marketing principles but by the sheer love of the art. Reading is a soul thing.

4.0 out of 5 stars Well worth it, 15 April 2003

Well, this is certainly something different! One of the most original books I have read yet. Made me smile and kept me turning the pages. Was a bit disappointed when it finished.
I really recommend it to anyone who wants something fresh and thoughtful to read.

5.0 out of 5 stars Stan represents us; behind our Facade!, 29 Dec 2003
By SriShakti - Published on Amazon.com
This review is from: A Man Called Stan (Paperback)
I read Stan and ohhh my god; he is sooo ballsy, sooo bad, sooo funny and sooo real. Stan gets into our heads and hearts and gets sympathy from the reader for being expressive. Stan does things we all want to do sometimes but know better not to...Despite an office job and a pretty girlfriend, Stan feels discontent and is looking in all the wrong places.

Stan helps us to steer us back on track!

4.0 out of 5 stars Stan = Everyman, 4 Aug 2003
By "cyberjohn99" - Published on Amazon.com
This review is from: A Man Called Stan (Paperback)
I just can't remember ever bursting into laughter so often while reading a book! And part of what makes it so funny is understanding how the character can find himself in such situations. Because he is human, like us, with the same problems and looking for answers.
This story is a fun-filled ride that takes us to someplace meaningful as well. Gives you food for thought, which happens too seldom these days with a book. I recommend it to anyone who is interested in life and how people live it.
