Jeremy Reed's new book shows a growing mastery of technique and imaginative content. Employing the ballad, the elegaic narrative (in the "Jackson Green" sequence) and the personal lyric, his development endorses the opinion of the "TLS" reviewer that 'he is one of the best young poets writing in English today'.

The book arrived okay, but it took a whole month to do so. Had the seller written down the date on the stamp (as asked by the post office), I could see the date and - maybe - I'd also see that the post office was to blame for the delay. But he/she didn't write down the date, so one can only assume that the seller was late on posting the parcel, right? Lousy seller.
