Product Description

Complete second series of the popular British sitcom. Robin Tripp (Richard O'Sullivan) moves into a flat with two girls Jo and Chrissie (Paula Wilcox and Sally Thomsett) and experiences the highs and lows of mixed flat-sharing. Meanwhile their landlords, George and Mildred Roper, not only keep an eye on the goings on but also have their own reasons for keeping tabs on their tenants. In this series, the flatmates have a party while their landlords are away, Robin feels low after being intimidated by some other men in the pub, and Mr Roper is shocked when he comes round for dinner to see that Robin has invited round a German friend from college. Episodes are: 'Whiile the Cat's Away'; 'Colour Me Yellow'; 'In Praise of Older Men'; 'Did You Ever Meet Rommel?'; 'Two Foot Blue, Eyes of Blue'; and 'Carry Me Back to Old Southampton'.

5.0 out of 5 stars Wonderful 6 July 2007
After a stressful day I find it so relaxing to watch an episode of MATH - I've just bought series 2 as I aim to collect them all. It is the show that I remember most fondly from my youth and it never disappoints - my young daughter even loves it. Makes you wonder how the DVD was compiled as the reels come complete with the advert break-outs (not the adverts though I'm glad to say).

5.0 out of 5 stars Classic Sitcom From The 1970's 1 Mar 2006
By A Customer
It's fantastic to see this wonderful series finally being released on DVD. It's also fantastic to see it being released on DVD by a company who have a passion for archive television.

If you look at your DVD player's clock as each episode starts, you may notice that it already says 10 seconds has passed. This is because Network have (like on most of their releases) included the original Thames Television countdown VT clocks. These were filmed in the studio just before the episode began taping and were voiced by the floor manager. Fascinating curios.

Just as you remember it ... totally undemanding sit-com from the days when they understood how to make them. As good a way as any to spend an evening watching.
