Product Description

Product Description

Count Dracula has been spreading evil and terror to the far corners of the globe for 100 years. But how will the Prince of Vampires fare in the new millenium? Is it possible to suck blood over the Internet? Are coffins easily transportable on NASA's new space shuttles? Could modern medicine cure the Count's distressing condition. This collection of stories presents many unique variations on the Prince of the Undead's character and activities as we reach and pass the year 2000.

vampire things 16 Dec 2011
Format:Paperback
the mammoth book of dracula ranging from original bram stoker to good spoofs and vampire fighters in a world of vampire rulers from deathless dracula fighting the nazis (twice) to post nuclear war vampires shows that fundamentally vampire tales are a one trick pony but is well told and great with it

This book is just what you would expect from the Mammoth Book of... series. Tons of stories packed into one volume. Great value, some top quality writing and a nice mixture of tradition and innovation.

If you're interested in vampire stories, this book will give you hours and hours of pleasure.

An Interesting Collection 24 Mar 2006
By Sidharth Chatterji - Published on Amazon.com
Format:Paperback
A very interesting collection of stories , including some very rare material by Bram Stoker not to be found anywhere else i.e. the original theatrical play based on 'Dracula'. However I would recommend this as a follow up to the classic "Mammoth Book of Vampire Stories" in the same series which is an absolute MUST READ for any vampire fiction / horror fiction fan

Got it for the Newman story, but enjoyed the rest also. 23 Mar 1999
By John D Lewallen Jr - Published on Amazon.com
Format:Paperback
I do not consider myself to be a big Horror fan. I have read all of Lovecraft's works, and recently have been enjoying Kim Newman's Anno Dracula series. A comment that Newman posted on this site led me to get this book for his story, "Coppola's Dracula." That was definitely my favorite story in the book, but I was pleasantly surprised that most of the other stories were decent as well. Like almost all anthologies, there are some stories that were not so hot, but there were no absolute clunkers, in my view. I would recommend this book to anyone who enjoys horror fiction, whether they are a long-time fan, or a relative new-comer like I am.

Disappointing 10 Nov 2000
By Arthur Kevin Rabago - Published on Amazon.com
Format:Paperback
This book is a mish mash of recycled and rehashed Dracula Stories (though- not stooping too low as to include Peewee vs Dracula).

Though some of the stories might spark your interest.... for a while. Instead of something to keep you sleepless- this book has degenerated to an alternative cure for insomnia.
