My partner and I thoroughly enjoyed this romantic feelgood movie. It should be on any gay person's list of 2005 must sees.
But straight people should not avoid !There is a message for every person, be it from Mediterranean descent to anyone who feels that they don't quite belong.
There will be inevitable comparisons with my Big Greek F W, but it's not a case of seen-one-seen-them-all. You will just love the family, your heart will also ache for the poor confused parents. You just feel like hugging them ,as you reflect on your relationship with your own parents.
Do yourself a favour, and get this movie ASAP into your DVD player, and ENJOY

The movie stereotypes Italians, but in a tongue-in-cheek fashion. It's full of laughs, but also poignant in its exploration of the trials and triumphs of coming out and finding a new place in the old, traditional family.

I saw this title through work at a special screening and everyone was laughing out loud throughout. I was really surprised it wasn't more of a success at the box office. It's a little gem, bright, colourful, sweet, funny, a great way to spend an afternoon.

A brilliant 'Feel Good' Movie

Coming-out in italian way
Light, but not stupid comedy about dealing with being a gay in typical italian family. Films like "Mambo italiano" are based mainly on national stereotypes. Read more

Decent fun
