I used MamaTens half way from when my contractions started until the very labour, about 8 hours in total. It really helped me, i felt like i was in control, as soon as a contaction started i pressed Contraction mode button and watched the time on the screen, especially by the end, when the contactions were getting really strong (and i only used mode A!). In the end I gave natural birth with no epidural or gas and air. Really recommend this model as it is specially designed for keeping track on contractions. Worth every penny!

Very difficult item to buy - I am guessing most people would have nothing to compare any TENs machine with another.
A few points that I thought were important:
Effective safe pain relief - this product did help with the pain during the first 2 phases of labour
Decent build quality - this product is very flimsy with the dreaded battery cover that feels like it is going to snap off. It has a belt clip attachment but it clashes with the boost switch so it is completely useless. The Pads are not sticky enough and certainly last no where near long enough so I had to patch up with some tape
Battery life - you will need a fresh set every 4-6 hours
Ease of use: I had no idea why it was made so complicated z dial and a switch would have done the trick

I bought this days before I was due. It is easy to use and worked wonders in first stage labour. The contraction timing feature was particularly useful and in some ways, a good distraction in first stage. My only problem was the strap is a little awkward hanging round your neck as it is not adjustable. I would definitely recommend this TENS machine
