MAMA LOVER is doing wonders in summer charts, so I've developed an interest in this girls'group (not being a boy it's not for the sexy videoclips/in your face booklet's photos that will make Rihanna blush! I consider it "just operation- smart marketing" ;-P)...I had had a soft spot for Tatu in the past, because their songs were catchy but neither obvious nor "American standard", as all those successful songs out there during these past years (you know that usual sound copied from something else, plus a refrain sung with the rapper of the moment), therefore I was curious anout Serebro too.
Then I've discovered that the group is around since a few years & successful in their homeland Russia (they attended also the Eurofestival), & this is the 1st international album in English (the only Russian track is MAMA LYUBA, the original version of their latest success, which I prefer to the known 1): I'm glad to have purchased it.
It's 1 hour long with almost no fillers (being a sort of "best of" of earlier Russian stuff) apart the karaoke version of ML, & it's fine harmless EU disco pop with a twist of happy dance sound from the East, so that it still sounds as fresh & brand new, even with lots of influences from the past (especially '70ies & '90ies for me).
The voices of the girls are ok nothing extraordinary (someone of them has cowrote something, plus 1 girl left & there's a new 1, but regardless all the music is by Maxim Fadeev) at least what seems from this material, but the thing that matter is that it flows coherently well, because it's written by a single group of composer/producers: just like with Brit Girls Aloud, I find it worked best to find their own way & specific club-flavour.... This is a good cd by serebro , not quite up to the standard of opuimroz but still has some excerlent songs. A must have for serebro fans

I have been a DJ for many years, and love all types of music. I heard the track 'Mama Lover' on a CD that my niece got for Christmas. On seeing the name 'Serebro' I remembered the name, and knew they had performed on the Eurovision Song Contest, not so long ago. So I decided to get onto YouTube and see what other songs they had. What a surprise was in store. These three girls, really have superb singing voices, and the music is fantastic. I'm so delighted to have got my hands on this album. I hope they go far. I bet if Simon Cowel, got them to perform on the X Factor, ratings would be back up again.

Serebro's new album Mama Lover is a full on dance session. With great songs on this CD, the only disappointment is that the Russian songs are not on this particular album. This includes Dishi, Opium, Skahzhi Ne Molchi, Sladko and Malchick. Apart from that, a very good album. 4/5

An amazing album. Been following Serebro for a few years now and have enjoyed all of thier music. This is the first album in english and would hope this gets a full uk release. I could see it doing well. Would recommend this to anyone that loves pop music.

The first cd is Great as well,check out the beautiful Ballad Dishi or sometimes re titled Breath,There is also a Guitar version of dishy floating around ,Brilliant Version.
These girls will be big very soon ,Mark my words.
If you like this type of music look at INNA
Overall a good second CD,if the record company listen to these reviews ,and off other sites,the girls SHOULD RE RELEASE the first CD in English,that would be 10/10 and Def/be a far better record than this.
