Pros :
1. Large enough scale to effectively plan walks in detail .....
2. ..... but small enough scale to get valledemossa to Pollensa on the one map (2 sides), ie. the bulk of the GR 221
3. Good detail and a good key
Cons :
(1) Main problem - it was written for ther German market and all supplementary text is in German (can work out most to make it useable but would have been better to flag this up beforehand)
(2) No grid lines on the map so cannot locate places by grid reference.
(3) No grid north / grid lines thus cannot calculate grid then magnetic bearings accurately enough for use when walking in mountain mist / low cloud.

A really useful map for a walking holiday in Mallorca, covering most of the Tramuntana mountains in a handy format. We used it in conjunction with the Cicerone guide (which by the way wasn't great). Take care though, as the legend and the short descriptions of several walks are all in German.
