Really helped me understand 6 Mar 2012

This really helped me understand the few narcissists in my life. It also helped me be able to empathize with their very convoluted inner world and helped me come to grips with some of the inane behaviors I've seen them exhibit.

I'd recommend this book for anyone who has had to deal with an overt narcissist in their past or present.

Popular Highlights

These rapid alterations between absolute overvaluation (idealization) and complete devaluation make long-term interpersonal relationships with the narcissist all but impossible. "e;

"e;
The popular misconception is that narcissists love themselves. In reality, they direct their love at other people's impressions of them. He who loves only impressions is incapable of loving people, himself included. "e;
