Malawi in pictures 8 April 2011
By athelc
Format:Library Binding
Our daughter has recently moved to Malawi so needed some pictures to know a little about this little known country.

This book has magnificant pictures of the country and it's people.

I would gladly recomend this book even if only to see such great pictures but with the text it gives an insight to this lovely country and it's beautiful people.

My book had the library cover upside down but hope it was an exception.
a real disappointment for such a great boo.k

Perhaps I misinterpreted the information and the review on this book but while I was not expecting a coffee-table picture book - indeed wanted something more - I was not expecting a text book in Readers Digest style layout, more suitable for a school-child than a grown-up - especially at the price. Added to which I was not enamoured of the American spelling nor the American political slant. As someone who had spent a number of years in another part of Africa, I was wanting to give it as a present to a doctor who grew up in Malawi; so, not having had time to review it beforehand, I was concerned when the unopened package indicated a very slender volume (not much weightier than a magazine); and considerably embarrassed when he did open it and we saw the content.
