Bought this as a means to obtaining perfectly straight cuts for all those little woodwork jobs around the house. Once set up, it seemed to work well. It was not set perfectly from the factory and it took a few practice cuts, tiny adjustments and checks with a tri-square to get it right but, once this was done, the cuts were then spot-on. For the price it's a very sturdy piece of kit and a joy to use; wish I'd bought one years ago!

I am relatively new to DIY but have taken on a rennovation project that has thrown me in at the deep end. This saw has been wonderful at everything I have asked it to do so far. It seems to me to be very well made and of high quality, and whilst I have not had to use it day-in day-out as a professional might it certainly has performed well for me.

I bought this Mitre Saw because I am renovating our house and wanted a quality chop saw to help reduce my work-load.
This Makita has certainly lived up to my expectations, a powerful machine that is easy to operate, has excellent safety features but as with all cutting machinery you have to be careful when operating it.
I have had to lay new floor boards down in two rooms and fitted skirting boards throughout the house This machine cut all the wood that was required for these undertakings with the minimum of effort.
Recommended.
