Good, in depth book! 27 Feb 2008
By Ellie
Format:Paperback
I brought this book to help me understand more techniques and methods to do with theatre prop making while studying a course on the subject. I am glad to say it is now a fantastic reference guild to me. The book itself is meant to show a wide varity of materials, ideas on their use and useful tips and methods (which prevents you making those 'text book errors'). The book does this in a very effective way and it really does gives you a very in-depth knowledge and a good over all understanding.

The only thing I would say is that the book isn't really meant to be a Beginner's step by step guild on prop making, althought it does contain processes and methods which is useful when starting to use new materials. However, if you are someone that wishes to expand their knowledge and skill range this is a good start!

Think outside the box 1 Sep 2009

The book has some very good ideas and methods on the various aspect for Behind the Scene. I will be putting some of them to good use. One of the areas that I want to learn to do is mold making. This will help for those items that are too expensive to rent or buy.
