This book teaches you how to make just about any kind of chain you can imagine, taking you through step-by-step examples and hints and tips. Each chain is accompanied by a large photo of a finished piece, and a list of materials you need. Step by step, instructions are interwoven with beautiful illustrations & diagrams.
The chains range from a simple belcher chain to highly beautiful chains using multiple links. All can be constructed with the minimum of equipment. This book is very clear and well presented as a series of discrete projects. Apart from chains, the knowledge you will learn is highly valuable for any jeweller with hints and tips on soldering, filing and cutting. This is a great resource for any jeweller and silversmith; it is a handy and beautiful and clear introduction to the beginner. A beautiful book. Every silversmith should have a copy.

A no frills book with good diagrams & step by step instructions on how to create simple & more complex multiple link Chains. Also informs you of the gauge of wire needed for each chain project & instructions on how to calculate the amount of wire needed for a particular length of chain.

Very basic and lack details. Agreed that it should have basic chains but should progress to something more unusual or challenging.
