This book has a lovely cover.
Pity the story is SO dire. It's really badly-written, the story is absolute pants and the the main character is so unpleasant, I assume the end of the book would reveal she gets her come-uppance.

No. As much as I love chick-lit and makeover stories, this is an appalling plot and with sentences suggesting the best way to instill self-esteem into teenage girls is to photograph them as celebrities and then Photoshop them into resembling beauties...I dread to think how disappointed some of the 'reviewers' who have been awaiting this book are going to be when they finally read it.

OK so the basic plot has been done many times over - fat girl gets bullied, has a make-over, wow she's stunning!! But there is something about this book that caught my attention. The writing is very fluid and flows nicely, meaning this becomes a nice, easy, quick read.
This is after all Chick Lit so obviously it's not a meaty text worthy of much discussion, but for a lazy sunny weekend, it's pretty much perfect.
