O.k., so I haven't made anything out of this yet as it just arrived a couple of hours ago, but I have to say that I WILL. It is only a wee thing, 32 pages, but there are three recipes I like the look of and plan to make a.s.a.p. - Tough Hands Lotion, Honey Ointment, and Hand and Nail Butter. These sound nice enough to make for Christmas presents.
The only thing that keeps me from giving it 5 starts is the fact that I haven't yet seen the results. Still, compared to other books I have looked at (and bought) the instructions are simple to follow, and most of the ingredients are easily available where I live (and this is the north of Scotland).

I bought this as a companion to The Natural Soap Book and am looking forward to trying some of the suggestions. With an increasing interest in natural products, having spent time in the Middle East, I am ready to have a go myself.
I only gave it 4 stars as some of the recipes did not mention any shelf life which would have been helpful. Also the postage seemed rather high for such a light paperback but I recognise that some of the postage cost is towards handling etc.

Excellent,well described ideas for home-made hand care products,using lovely pure ingredients & enabling the maker to have a finished item worthy of gracing any bathroom.Super gift ideas. An excellent & inspiring book.

Making Herbal Hand Creams and Salves
This 'book' turned out to be a pamphlet, which I found disappionting considering I'd paid for a book.

There is only one recipe in this book I would use - the rest dont seem worth bothering with, and the indgredients are hard to obtain except from the internet. Read more
