Book Description

17 July 2008
This book contains detailed step-by-step instructions and illustrations for making a range of lively, creative flower figures. Many of the figures are recognisable from Elsa Beskow's popular picture books, and from Sybille von Olfers' "The Story of the Root Children". Activities are organised by season, making the book ideal for decorating a nature corner or seasonal table in the home or classroom.

Product Description

Review

'The instructions are very easy to follow, for older children with a little help. These small figures would make a great addition to seasonal tables; the Autumn section is especially nice, the toadstool children with red fly agaric hats are lovely.' -- Hilary Woolf with Isaac (age 5), Education Otherwise

5.0 out of 5 stars Great little project book 30 Jan 2009
By K. Anderson - Published on Amazon.com
Format:Paperback
So many waldorf style books like this have a lot of knitting projects. I am so glad to find one where most of the projects do not involve knitting! The dolls in this book are simple and easy to do with children, but are also adorable and something you will want to display on your nature table. The patterns and instructions are very clear as well.
5.0 out of 5 stars A beautiful book 24 Jan 2013
By Sarah B. - Published on Amazon.com
Format:Paperback|Amazon Verified Purchase
I really love all the sweet dolls in this book. There are many dolls I plan to make from this book, and I appreciate the traceable pattern pieces given for each doll. There are not many pictures of construction, just written explanation of how to put each doll together. This might prove challenging for someone with little or no sewing/doll making experience. I consider myself an intermediate doll maker and seamstress, so the instructions are fine for me.
If you want to make nature themed Waldorf type dolls this is a great book to have!
