If you're after information for making authentic American Indian arrows in the way they were once made then this book is for you. I enjoyed reading this book and learned some useful tips, but it is specific to the type of arrows used by Native American Indians. I was particularly after a book that would help me to make arrows, using techniques from a bygone era, to use with a longbow. This book was not the one. Most of the woods mentioned are not available in the UK and those that would have been used for making longbow arrows are absent.

This little book is clearly written and an interesting read. It's always apparent when a writer knows their subject and is enthusiastic about it. Very enjoyable and full of information.

With the rebirth of interest in tradional archery, books like this are worth their weight in deer sinew. This won't tell you everything you'll want to know, but it deserves a place on your shelf. The best features are the clear, straightforward explanations of arrow length, materials, spine, and other essentials. Good for a beginner or an advanced amateur.

If you just want to make arrows and you want only this title, you can buy this booklet, but if you bought (like I did) "making indian bows and arrows the old way", then that one already contains in extenso the arrow booklet... Amazon.com pushed me to get the same text twice.
