This book was too expensive for the content. Although it provides a beginner's guide and the basics of soap making, there are only 3 recipes, which can't really be altered. It is about the size of a CD (about an inch bigger than a CD case all the way round) with 44 pages in it.
It's got good images and simple instructions, including safety advice and a list of suppliers (which could be easily found on a search engine in my opinion). I personally feel for the money that more recipes would have been nice. It really is only a guide for beginners. I like it, and look forward to making my first batch of soap, but the recipes aren't for soaps I'd make either, the first is for White Lavender Soap, then Honey & Wheatgerm Soap, and the third (which I may use) is Palm-free Rose Soap.
I think it'd be nice to have a good selection of recipes to have something that appeals to everyone. There are no instructions about decorative soaps, colouring or wrapping. Which would be useful. There is however information about making soap to sell in the UK. I think I need a more in-depth book!
