The stand got broken straight away, hence the loss of a star, but the stand was superfluous anyway. The telescope is pretty robust, though we have had to glue the ends on to stop the bits separating and getting lost.
I like the fact that constructing it demonstrates what is inside
The magnification is noticeable, more than adequate for the 3 year old recipient
