3.0 out of 5 stars ...an infectious disease..., 29 Jul 2007

Hallo! This is a bit of alright. It shouldn't be as none of the usual requirements for a good album are in place. You know, musical competence, singing in tune, that sort of thing. But somehow Vatican DC overcome it with a set of shambolic yet euphoric disco-punk tunes.

Yes, disco-punk. It's as if Chic did the grubby stuff with the Buzzcocks, and sees Vatican DC veering off all over the place, only rarely dipping into identikit indie. Although you'll want to skip over 'Side To Side'.

But take a listen to 'Wow' or the utterly mad, infectious and potentially lethal 'Fountainhead' for proof that their brand of disease could catch on.
