5.0 out of 5 stars Tamaki Nami's 2nd ALbum 11 Aug 2005
By sharlona payne - Published on Amazon.com
Format:Audio CD
Tamaki Nami's 2nd album is way better then her debut. Her vocals have matured, the song booklet is great (nami is in diffrent outfits instead of one like in her greeting booklet) and the beats and lyrics are better than ever.

1.Fly Away - is the perfect opening track. It leads you into the feel of the album i give it a 5/5

2.REASON - this is Nami's best selling single to date it was used at the first ending theme for gundam seed desting 5/5

3.Daybreak- after the two awesome first tracks Nami slows it down with this song not bad but not her best 4/5

4.Future Step- is equal to complete on her first cd its catchy and dancy 4/5

5.Truth-first ballad of this cd the beat is so cool and the chorus is catchy 5/5

6.Daitan ni ikimashou!!heart and soul-this is a cover of the a*teens song perfect match the video was shot in america!! this song took some time for me to get used to i love it now it's so catchy and it gets stuck in your head 4.5/5

7.make progress-just and instumental leading to heroine nm\o words

8.HeroIne-this single Nami released before her album it has a diffrent feel because it is kind of rock fused with teckno(sp??) its not my personal fave ( thats track 9) its a good song though...4.5/5

9.Kurayami Monogatari (Darkness' Story )-ahh...this is a fan favoriteand its my personal favorite also the beat is nice ( like with daybreak) and like Heroine the track has a rock feel to it. 6/5

10.You- This is a song Nami wrote all by herself! its a ballad i noramlly skip it..4/5

11.Fortune-as many know this is the opening track for square enix game RADIATA STORIES. its a catchy song it takes time getting used to for some. this is not Nami's strongest song but i still love it 4.5/5

12. Dreamers- Nami wrote the lyrics or this song its a fast song unlike the other song she pennend YOU the two songs are so diffrent its as catchy as her next track 4/5

13. Distance- this song was on her Daitan ni ikimashou single.many preferred special birthday to distance but this song is alright . 3.5/5

14. REASON * flash foward mix* - image the song reason with a higher speed and a futuristic beat thats what this song is about. This song is the perfect way to end this album 5/5

There you have it!! Oh! some fans who havent heard her singles may have to get used to this album before they like it because the music style is WAY difrrent from greeting.I know i had to get used to it and i bought every single nami had so wait before you judge it takes many listens. Well cant wait for new cd to come out when it does. Hope i was helpful!

5.0 out of 5 stars Go Nami Go!!!!!!! 2 Sep 2005
A Kid's Review - Published on Amazon.com

This is truly a terrific cd. if you're onsidering buyinf it, please do. You will NOT be disappointed AT ALL.

Fly Away~A nice song, not one of the best on the cd, but nice nonetheless. Don't skip this one, folks! A nice beat and great vocals definitely do the job as a good opener.

Reason~The best song on the album. Period. The ending theme for Mobile Suit Gundam SEED DESTINY. I personally think that it has too much potential to be just an ENDING theme. It should open the show! You'll be listening to this one over and over, trust me.

Daybreak~ A medium on the goodness scale. It's good, so you really shouldn't pass over it if you want the full Nami experience.

Future Step~ A very good song that Nami sings in her deeper voice. It's got a catchy beat. This is one of the songs you like, but you won't play them over and over again. Still, you'll like this one.

Truth~ Not one of the best songs on the album. I'd reccomend skipping this one.

Daitan ni Ikimashou-Heart&Soul~ Japanese title means "let's go boldly". This song is VERY poppy, so if you have a problem with perkiness, overlook this one. If not, happy listening! This is a really great track for, say, cheerleading, or something.

Make Progress~A very short track, but excellent. it's much like rave music. It's EXACTLY like what djs play in clubs. A great, short-but-sweet track that demands your attention. LISTEN!

Heroine~ you MUST listen to this one. It's just fabulous. Listen to it. Trust me, you'll love it. It's got a nice tune, and it's guaranteed to get stuck in your head.

Darkness Story (Kurayami Monogatari)~ A very, very, very, very weird song. If you don't like Nami's lower voice, then you won't like this song. She makes the words sound very strange.

You~ A very beautiful power-ballad. It's a nice break from the quick and upbeat songs on the rest of the album. To me, this song sounds like a funeral ballad. Don't get me wrong, it's a lovely track, but I can picture Nami singing it at a funeral mass.

Fortune~ The theme song to the role-playing game Radiata Stories. It's friendly and upbeat, and easily likeable. Very good track.

DreamerS~ A very poppy track that isn't my favorite.

Distance~ This is a very good song. Don't skip this one. It's got a nice beat, Nami's vocals are great, and overall it's a good track.

Reason Mix~Basically sounds exactly like the regular Reason, so it's not really anything special.

Overall, this is a fabulous album. BUY IT NOW.

Nothing bad to say, Good music with lots of songs. This is a good album to have and it really does make it worth it with the amount of songs that are on it. Not like typical Japanese music which has 2-4 songs on it this album has many. Very satisfied.
5.0 out of 5 stars Nami's Making Progress! 8 Jun 2013

Although this is an excellent album, I must admit that in the beginning, it did require some time for me to get used to it.

This was very different from her first album. It had a lot more electro-pop and her vocals were a bit more mature. Although I enjoyed the effort she created within this sophomore album, I (sadly) cannot compare this to the amazing creation of her first album.

But despite that depressing thought, I really appreciated the fast-paced aroma she placed within this album. It gave the album more of an edge --like a futuristic edge if I had to find the right word to describe it. And I just love the fact that nearly all the songs have such bright, upbeat electro-dance rhythms and melodies that it's guaranteed to get one hooked for sure.

Even though this wasn't my favorite album from her, I will admit that Nami can make some amazing techno-pop. Nearly all the songs here caught my interest, but the ones that stood out a bit more were: "Reason" "Fly Away" "Heroine" "Truth" "You" "DreamerS" "Distance" "Fortune" "Future Step" and finally "大胆にいきましょう ↑Heart&Soul↑ (Let's Go Boldly)". Her musical style was very different from typical electro-pop I hear. Quite intriguing, if I had to be honest.

If you're a techno-pop/electro-pop fan, I recommend this album whole-heartedly because it'll makes you see what's Nami's capable of in an entirely different light.

Overall, a solid album.
