Book Description

1 July 2007
Book 1 in the More than Male series. Nyssa is a fem, genetically engineered for beauty and talent as well as spirit and independence. One day she will rule over the High Council, but for now she must accept the protection of Theron, her new Guardian. Theron is a primale, designed with superhuman mental and physical strength. As a natural dominant, he is meant to mate with a submissive. But there is something about the curvy, impish fem that stirs his protective interests...and his loins. To her dismay, Nyssa finds that she has a taste for the man's dominance, but the risks are high. Once a primale has sexually bonded with a woman, she is his for life-exclusively. Nyssa must choose whether to give in to her desire to submit to Theron or to find a safer route in the arms of ordinary men, known as mems. Theron, too, must fight his sexual needs, even as a killer stalks the woman he is coming to love. If he is to save her, he must look into his own heart and the long-buried pain of his solitary life.

5.0 out of 5 stars Good read. 29 Nov 2007

This book was throughly enjoyed esp the second one which is called Pull my Hair. Both stories where good but Desgin of a Lifetime didnt have the heart and plot like Pull my Hair did.

Pull my Hair was about a married couple that gets caught in a rut b/c of the wife's inablity to truly get "naked" for him. In other words to reveal her past to him which he needs to know so he can "know all of her". Becuase of her inablity to do so it strains their marraige. And to top it all off, he is working late trying to make more money so she could have a good life (since he knows she hated being poor) and all she wants is to be with him.

Design of a Lifetime is about a woman who hasnt had sex in a while and yearning for some. Her friend, Liza (the lead in Pull my Hair) tells her she shold try to broaden her horizon (do a white guy) which is exactly what happens. It was love at first sight and was pretty much about the hot sex rather than any real plot but still good.

4.0 out of 5 stars It was Good 18 Mar 2009

Make It Last combines two books, Design of a Lifetime and Pull My Hair.
Design of A Lifetime was okay, but it was too short to allow for much character development. Karina and Cooper meet on the elevator at Macy's. Karina is running late for work and Cooper holds the elevator for her. She is instantly attracted and so is he. He arranges to have her gift wrap a bunch of presents he has bought for his mother and sisters. He comes back just before closing, they have sex and a month later they are married.
Pull My Hair was a much more developed story. Liza and Greg have been married for 7 years. It seems they have lost the spark in their marriage because of issues Liza has problems facing in her past.
Liza has created a perfect image of for herself that isn't real. Greg is tired of feeling like he doesn't really know who his wife is. As they struggle to come to terms with the issues in the marriage, Liza is forced to face her past. Greg lets Liza know he is no longer happy to live in the fantasy she has created. As Liza struggles to face her past, she discovers she has lost track of her own purpose and goals. Ms. Kaye takes us through their journey to rediscovery, with some steamy sex thrown in along the way. Pull My Hair was a good story, but I still think I like Just Like Candy better.

4.0 out of 5 stars Hot and Steamy 22 Jun 2008

I liked this book. It was not what I expected. This is not your average romance novel. It shocks you if you don't know this writer. I didn't. The two stories leave you hot and bothered but some of the tenderness is missing. If you like sexy books this it.

5.0 out of 5 stars Interracial romance not a bad ideal 24 Mar 2008

This was a joy to read; I commend the author for going back to give 2 great short stories by letting us see what happened and how other characters in a previous story came to be and how their relationships developed and giving us a enjoyable ending.
