I thoroughly enjoyed this album. My first experience of E.S. Posthumus was with their previous album Unearthed, which was themed around a number of ancient cities, and I fell in love with their unique blend of classical, tribal and electronic styles - you wouldn't think it could work so well, except for the fact that it does!
Makara is, if possible, even better. It was a roller-coaster ride of excitement and tension all the way through, and well worth buying. Only two tracks don't completely work for me: the adaptations of the St Matthew Passion and the Moonlight Sonata (I do like those two tracks immensely, I just prefer them in their original format).
I only wish I could buy Makara as a CD in order to have the hard copy!
