My two year old daughter loves having this book read to her. Its a pull and pop out book that lets your child help Maisy bake a cake. Its really fun and a cute story. I have to read this over and over with my daughter. We are big fans of Maisy and if you are too, this book needs to be in your collection.

fun! with a slightly scary end

Muy daughter (20 months) loves all the action in this book. I like the idea that narrating everyday actions can make them fun! Only problem: the crocodile Charlie in the last page actually eats a slice of the cake, but it took a while to convince my daughter he was not trying to eat Maisy instead! She was really scared. The huge toothed mouth of the crocodile is really a bit too scary for small kids. I had to reach out for the other books of Maisy's stories we own to show that the crocodile is actually a friend of Maisy, and she finally got convinced. She now loves the book and wants to read it again and again.
