This, the second in the series, is a delightful book which comes alive on the page; Fergus is full of life and bounce - no wonder Maisie loves him! The story is really exciting for young children and also teaches them about both tame and wild animals. The style is direct and involving, and draws the reader in very quickly. My nieces and nephew loved it and kept asking me to read it again - surely a strong recommendation. Eireann Littlefield is onto a winner with this idea - roll on the next Maisie story.

Was so excited to receive my copy of Fergus and the Deer. This is another gem in the Maisie the Animal Minder series. Fergus and the Deer is a real page turner. The tension of what would happen next made my kids hang on every page. The illustrations by Penny Haynes really bring the book to life. Sooooo looking forward to the next installment of the Maisie the Animal Minder series. Please let it be soon Eireann Littlefield!!!

This is the second book in the series and it is so well written and endearing. It keeps the little ones attention is entertaining, funny and interesting. The pictures are super and it is all so well done. The website is a real treat too. I can't wait for the next one!
