I bought this Blu-ray player because it had the capability to play MKV and other files from USB.
It does that well and the picture is great, there are a few things that let it down though
1. The optical drive/playback is quite noisy so if you are trying to watch a film on quiet then this is a bit of an issue. This didn't affect me much as most of my stuff was played via the USB slot.
2. The MKV files have to be split so they are smaller than 4GB (0r 2GB, I forget which). I'm not sure why and it's not a massive issue.
If you are looking for a cheap Blu-ray player and one that can play media from USB then this is the device for you. It has the features of much more expensive players.

Bought this to go in the kids playroom. Can't complain its easy to use, good picture and sound quality and a good price. Can't ask for more at that price.
