Best Renbourn Ever 10 May 2009

When this came out first on vinyl, it soon became a folk classic, and it still is. If you are searching for Renbourn, this is head and shoulders above the rest. The true test of a classic album? You listen to it year after year, and it still sounds wonderful, still has great appeal. I don't know the three extra tracks, though, but the original tracks are truly wonderful.....not a 'filler' amongst them.

Renbourn and McShee together again 10 Feb 2009

A Maid in Bedlam, JRB:s first album, got a medieval pastoral beauty. Renbourn is back with former Pentangle singer McShee and together with reedman Tony Roberts, fiddler Sue Draheim and tabla player Keshave Sathe they produce music of beauty and (yes) swing. Don't miss this one!

Love Renbourn, love this cd. Colourful acoustic tapestries, woven with care. Let it lead you into a realm of aural wonder and joy. If you like acoustic guitar, try this cd. Then go out and buy the rest of his cd's.

A Maid In Bedlam

If you buy John Renbourne to listen to his superb guitar playing(as I do)then this is not an album for you. Very little guitar music, left me disappointed.

Didnt particularly suit my taste as I was looking for olde english ballads but I can see it being popular to other groups.
