For those who don't know who Magnum are, they are a company that make boots for the armed forces i.e. army, special forces, police and security. They have built in technologies some of which are relevant to everyday use but others that will only come in useful if you for example, rappel down a building using a zip line on the weekends (No seriously).

So what are my impression? Firstly, these boots are really comfortable. The soles are generous and padded, and they fit and feel like trainers, so much so that you could happily go running in them. Secondly, if you are concerned with warmth, you will not be disappointed as these always keep my feet snug and warm. The quality of these boots are excellent, and I have heard of people still using them years after they were purchased, thus it is likely they will still be on my feet years from now. If you are planning on using them for walking or hiking, I cannot really comment beyond saying that I have walked quite a distance in mine and I have no complaints. The only thing to consider is that since they contain a nylon part, walking through a marsh will be a problem and you will get wet. For general use, they keep water out, but if you need water-tight boots for marshes, check out the complete leather versions that are also available. One feature I love, is the cut out at the back where the boot will meet your leg. This comes in handy if you are driving or sitting as it allows you greater movement so you can flex your ankle without restriction. This might not sound important, but believe me, it is. Finally, if you normally sweat and stink out your shoes, the antibacterial treatment of the inside these boots will prevent this as it does for me.
In conclusion, I personally love my Magnum boots, and the price on Amazon is great. There are many different types of boots made by the company for different military sectors, thus if you are interested, research the company and choose appropriately. Amazon offers numerous choices. If you are simply looking for fashionable, comfortable and warm boots, these are certainly worth considering. If you need to rappel down anything, then the X-traction zone will be a useful feature but if you don't, at least your covered for this eventuality. Whatever you decide, may you find the perfect boots.
All the best
