I just thought to write about these boots/range; Hi-tec Magnum Boots.
I have bought various styles of these over the years,without doubt they have been seriously worth every penny.
No not for the fashionistas out there! But for anyone who has to do serious mile-munching then these babies are for you.
Well constructed,comfortable and just bloody good at what they are designed for.
So I always wanted the current pair I have purchased here, and at the price I paid on AmazonUK the cheapest on the web at near half RRP of £130!! (they can go for more than that and other styles do)
Don't let the price put you off (for any of the styles)these boots are made for walking and do so for many a long mile,my old pair have just went past the year of wear and are now starting to show serious wear on the sole and heal
just as an example!
So do your feet a favour, by a pair! You will not regret doing it!

I have to agree with the other comments re they are very comfy, light and look great but,, after only three weeks of wear the seam on the plastic to canvas part of one boot has started to rip leaving a hole the size of my finger and i can see signs the other boot will go shortly, also all the canvas part of the boots have started to fray quite badly. My other cheaper combat boots are the conversre desert type and they have no problems. I expected these boots to last ages so when i get back to the uk i will return them back to the manufacturers, gonna try a replacement pair when i eventually get them, and will update later as i work in afghanistan. .....Its now Feb 2012 and im on my third pair, youve guessed they have just started to split at the seam again, this time i shall be getting a refund.

Sturdy yet comfy, warm but breathable, robust but lightweight, not perhaps ideal for winter-wear, but I can't take these boots off they're so comfortable; time will tell with regard to wear, but walking and long distance driving they're up to the job and when you take them off you know you've been wearing good footwear! The Magnum brand succeeds again!

It is a very comfortable shoe, almost like a glove, I tried on hard, fording rivers, steep slopes, ... and in all cases feel very secure in both the foot and ankle. Read more
