Biography

U2 formed in 1978 after Larry Mullen pinned a 'musicians wanted' ad to the notice board at Dublin's Temple Mount School. Adam Clayton had discovered rock'n'roll as a thirteen year old, buying his first acoustic guitar and then talking his parents into buying him a bass guitar. 'It just sounded good to me. Deep and fat and satisfying.'
From the beginning, U2 were marked out by their passion. "A band… Read more in Amazon's U2 Store

magnificent 6 Jun 2009
Format:Audio CD
magnificent,
exactly what it says on the cover.
arrived in time etc so no complaints.
a query for anyone out there with any info.
this disc was supposedly out on release in the uk and at the last minute was pulled by the record company so it could not be bought here where as the 7" was available everywhere i went.
due to this the single was 'the bands worst single ever, not making it into the top 50', according to some sunday newspapers.
does anyone know the reasons why it was pulled at the last minute.
anyway as i said before magnificent and thanks
garry

Fair Single 19 July 2009
By Thomas R. Vance - Published on Amazon.com
Format:Audio CD
The cd has only three tracks.

Here is the breakdown:

1.Magnificent - shorter version of regular album release.

2. Vertigo (live)-
This live version lacks the energy of the studio version. Bono sounds exhausted and there are better live versions of Vertigo.

3. Get on your Boots (remix)- This is what made the album for me. This version has sorta of a R&B and hip hop beat to it. Sounds like a completely different song from the original. Not usually big on remixes, however this one is great.

MAGNIFICENT REMIXED 8 Jun 2009
By Joe - Published on Amazon.com
Can't go wrong here, the remixed tracks are great dance trance versions of the original. Can easily hear them in a movie soundtrack or dance club. Favs are the adam k and redanka one. Wish amazon could give more than 5 stars, because this one earns it!

Great Listen 26 Jan 2011
By Kathy Wyman - Published on Amazon.com
Format:Audio CD|Amazon Verified Purchase
These recordings in Boston are an exellent example of Bono's outstandingly flexible voice and The Edge's guitar work is extrodinary. I recomend the DVD This Could Get Loud with Edge, Jimmy Page and Jack White. Adam Clayton's bass creates depth and character. Larry Mullen Jr's drumming develops dancable backing with a sudden surprise interspersed.

Over all the CD is Fun and the reaction of the crowd is demonstrative of Bono'S ability to create the Enthusiasm. The cd is full of Fun and Soul like this rock Band, U2.
