I would say that if you are willing to spend a little extra money on a sketchbook this is potentially worth it depending on what you're using it for and how rich you are, it comes with: 3 bookmarks, graph paper every couple of pages, a calendar and a whole host of information at the back about: page dimensions, binding techniques, type anatomy etc. etc.

However if you're buying this as a sketchbook to treasure and be presentable I would not recommend this, it's definitely a project sketchbook. I'm studying Design at the moment and I find this useful to jot down ideas and keep track of all the projects I have going at once during lectures or just on the bus. It is almost impossible to keep neat and pristine, until you get about 1/3 through it is almost impossible to use the left side of the book without demolishing the spine which is fine when using it in the manner it is intended as a professional project sketchbook. If you want a smart presentable sketchbook this will soon frustrate you with what are some very practical and useful features. Basically this isn't the sketchbook that you want to be artsy and perfect in, go ahead and buy the Moleskine one that you've been looking at, if you want a sketchbook for you to scribble your ideas down and loosely sketch things in to constantly refer to throughout an entire project because it's such an easy place to keep everything and you can pour every idea into it and start developing it on the go then this is the one for you. That is if you're prepared to fork out the extra amount.

Amazing 2 April 2012
By Tiesha C. - Published on Amazon.com
Format: Paperback
I saw this sketchbook and it was wrapped in shrink wrap. I *really* wanted to flip through it because I wanted to know what was in it that made it for graphic designers. I was nervous because I couldn't flip through it but I bought it anyway and I fell in love. It has everything I want in a sketckbook in it.

There are cm, in, and PICA rulers on the inside front cover, turn the page and theres a calender! Its small, it only really works for maybe noting one event, or if you write really tiny.

There are blank pages, but there 3 pages theres a gridded/graphing page, which is fantastic for sketching for mockups.

There are 3 bookmarks, which is really helpful, and in the very back there's all sorts of references that we need as graphic designers, from type anatomy, to binding techniques, to paper sizes.

I really appreciate a sketchbook like this and plan to order at least two more once Im close to being done with this one.

Almost Perfect 2 Nov 2012

The only negative I have about this sketchbook is that the pages do not fold flat like a Moleskine. The pages are much thicker than the Moleskine Plain. I like the graph pages every few pages, also. Multiple page ribbons come in handy, too.

poor quality paper 24 Feb 2014
By jordan mello - Published on Amazon.com

I like how this sketchbook is put together, the resources in the back are handy, and the graph paper pages throughout are a nice touch. However, the paper quality leaves a lot to be desired. The paper does not take ink well, especially from fountain pens or brush pens, there is far too much feathering of the lines. The paper also yellows with age, I have had this sketchbook for a year and a half and and there is significant yellowing around the edges of the paper.

It's a nice looking sketchbook, that's for sure, but when it comes down to actually drawing in it, my tools are limited because of the poor paper quality. I would not recommend this as a sketchbook for anything more than note talking with a ballpoint pen.

great sketchbook!!! its sturdy and inexpensive. the paper works well with graphite, markers, regular pens, vvvvery light washes. the paper has a lot of tooth for a sketchbook, so watch out if thats not your thing. the pages alternate between graph and plain paper, but its mostly plain.
i honestly dont know why more places dont sell these?? not only are they good quality the blue and red color combo is super cute :)
A great journal for notes. 20 July 2014

One of my favorite journals to write in. The paper is toothy enough and has a good weight to feel like your words won't bleed through to the other side.
