Product Description

We listened to you and developed the Maglus Black Edition!

Listening to our valued user community we realized that there was a desire for a selection of colours for our product - so we developed the first in a series of differently-coloured Maglus.

The Maglus Black Editions' colour is achieved with a process called anodizing. Black anodizing gives the aluminum finish a premium feel similar to the original Maglus. We are being very selective with our colour choices to maintain the luxurious qualities of the Maglus products. We choose black first to accentuate the products it would be used with, and as the majority of touchscreen devices come in either dark or light colour formats, you can choose a Maglus to complement either. Our new Maglus Black Edition accentuates, for example, the black iPad while our silver Original Maglus accentuates the white iPad.

The new coloured Maglus uses the same removable tip system as its silver sibling - rest assured there's full compatibility with both the current range of tips and the tips we have planned for the future!

Also included with all Maglus stylii is an adhesive steel panel so you can store it in even more places. Noel and Andy - ApplyDea

I tried several stylus brands before, including the famous Bamboo, but nothing was really striking on my Ipad 4.
I finally managed to put my hands on the Maglus and....WOW, what a difference.
Just looking at the packaging I immediately got a sense that I was dealing with a top notch product and when I finally put the stylus to use, its precision, ergonomic design and sturdiness I realize this is what I was really looking for.
I needed something that would allow me to draw and paint on apps like Paper 53 or Sketches, but also allow me to handwrite notes on apps like Notability and the Maglus excels in all of these tasks.
It came with an extra silicon tip and I purchased, separately, the microfibre tips. The difference between the two is that the silicon ones are more sensitive and precise on the screen, which makes them ideal for handwriting, while the microfibre ones litterally glide on the screen of the Ipad, but somehow lack a bit in sensitivity compared to the other ones.
Great Great product delivered by a super reliable and professional seller...I couldn't be happier !!

Best I've tried yet. Handwriting is just about possible on my iPad with this & I write quite rapidly & cursively. Still not a pen experience but we are getting there. Much more useful as a drawing/painting tool (I use a higher, more gestural grip for that, & of course am usually moving more slowly; faster, gestural drawing is more emergent than constrained (i.e. written letters are 'constrained' to an expected form), and it's easier to work with the artefacts a device like this is bound to create. As a drawing tool it feels natural and fluid, if a little quirky. I'm still waiting on the pen experience I want to have, but this is actually useful. 5 stars because I like it as a drawing tool, and I think my writing expectations are still ahead of the technology currently on offer for ordinary capacitative screens.

So I bought one of these when they were a startup company and loved it from first day. I used it so much I wore it out! The original ones did not have a replaceable nib and it split after very heavy use.
It's perfect in so many ways. The shape and weight are great for my hands. It gives me great control and the weight is really great for games etc, it flows really well across the page. I don't do graphics so cannot comment on its usability in that arena. But for emails, scrolling, games I cannot do without it. And it's always there as it just clings to the cover with it's magnet.
So I contacted the company and explained what happened, and the very lovely people sent me a replacement for free. So chuffed - and happy again!

If there were the option I would give it six stars!

I have the black version of the stylus with which I am absolutely delighted.

It has a bit more 'heft' than my previous stylus which I find makes it easier to use,
The replaceable tips are also a substantial potential benefits in that my previous stylii
have lasted for about a year before the tip begins to disintegrate.

I find the magnetic attachment a boon as the stylus clamps itself firmly to the protective cover of my Apple
thus avoiding the search which previously had to be initiated after my wife, who prefers (greasy!) fingers
to a stylus, had moved the machine from its normal resting place......

I'll convert her yet.

As a very satisfied user of the Maglus regular silver stylus, I ordered the Black Edition which I found very smart and with the same extraordinary balance and usability. Beautifully made.
I fully recommend the product to anyone requiring a stylus that works without problems with the uniquely easy method of replacing the tip.
The manufacturers also provide an excellent & prompt help service.

I've never used a stylus before, and was unsure whether it was a good idea but I'm relieved to say that this is a good quality, value for money product. It was highly recommended on several websites, which swayed my decision. It comes well packaged, in a gift box, and shouts 'quality'! I have nothing to compare it with, but would happily buy another if I needed it.

I would also say that the seller, Digidave was quick to send it out, and has since followed up to make that sure I was happy with my purchase. Good customer service.

Now I understand why this stylus comes top of many comparison reviews.

It's the result of great design and vision of the guys at Applydea. I've tried various Stylus with my iPad and was never too convinced with them but this, the Maglus Stylus is exactly the experience I was looking for. It feels great in the hand mainly due to the perfect weight, not too heavy not too light. Also the flat sides really adds to the control you can achieve with it. The tips which are replaceable are also the most sensitive I've used, especially the standard silicone tips. Very light pressure required most likely due to the well balanced weight. The microfibre covered tips available are also very nice and glide swiftly across the screen. A small extra amount of pressure is required compared to the regular tips but some may prefer this.

All that and it also has strong magnets in the middle of it to latch on to your iPad cover so you can put it down without losing it. Very handy! Also a handy capsule is provided to house up to three extra tips.

If your specifically looking for a writing only tool for your tablet then your be looking at products intended for that purpose (Adonit comes to mind or a bluetooth stylus from Wacom etc.)

If your looking for an all round everyday stylus for using your tablet, this is as good as it gets and worth every penny.

Highly recommended!!
