So now I know what I'm doing this Winter!!. I've been toying with the idea for ages now of putting my vinyl on CD but have shyed away for all sorts of rasons - expense of a good pre-amp, the time involved etc..but WOW - with this software it's easy. You don't need a pre-amp 'cause there's one integrated into the software itself, so all you need to do is connect your turntable to your soundcard. I've got a Terra-Tec DMX 6Fire and capturing an LP worked great and intuitively (I didn't read the book). There's loads of editing possibilities for your audio, and if your not a budding sound engineer you can use the wizards and the results are fantastic. You can even turn the running order of the LP around a bit if you prefer a different running order. Also it's easy to get both sides recorded one after the other without there being any gaps (I suppose double LP's will be a doddle). I've even used it to clean up some old practise room cassettes of my old group from way back and it's worked a treat. I can listen to my old group recordings in "stereo", I've beefed 'em up somewhat and now they sound really good. So, if like me, you've got a lot of records that you havn't heard in years and you don't want to spend all winter in the Pub, get this and get cracking.

I cannot praise this software too highly. It does what it says on the box - and more. My requirement was for something to help me digitise my Vinyl LP collection and after trying 3 other programs, THIS is the one that makes it EASY. Installation is painless, introductory videos are provided and are helpful to get to know the basics. It is quick to start producing results, and then there are many additional features that can be used to refine your recordings. The more time you spend the better you can make it. One caution - the product comes with a limited mp3 user licence but does provide a URL to allow you to obtain a licence for unlimited use. Before they issue this info they require a lot of personal details, but they do provide a box for "don't deluge me with further advertising", so I hope that works! There is a basic paper user manual and extensive online help. Working in the software industry myself, (but with no connections to this company) I am understandably sceptical when evaluating new software, but this does have the feel of a Quality Product. Well done Maxim!

Wow have I been very busy since buying this product,I have given new lease of live to my many Offshore Radio Recordings that I made on cassette tapes and transfered them to CD's.The recordings are even better than I thought, once you have put them through the Audio Cleaning Lab filters that get rid of all the hiss from the tapes.I recommend that you buy this product if you have old cassette tapes that you can not buy on CD or even your old records of 33rpm and 45rpm that have not made it to CD,it's well worth the money I can tell you!!.
