Peel the celery and cut into slices using the slicer disc. Make the mayonnaise in the bowl. Stir the apple and celery into the mayonnaise, adding the walnuts. Serve on a bed of lettuce leaves, ingredients for 4 serves, preparation time 15 minutes, 2 red delicious apples, 2 sticks celery, 8 cl ( 3 fl oz) very lemony mayonnaise, 50 g (2 oz) shelled walnuts, a few lettuce leaves. I ordered this processor after I bounced the bowl of my Waring duet blender/processor (see separate review) and broke some of the plastic lugs which held the lid on. It turns out that it's essentially impossible to get a spare bowl and so I looked for a complete replacement. The Magimix doesn't do (at least in theory) as much, as it's just a processor and doesn't have a blender jug. But the build quality is fabulous, the spare parts are easy and cheap to get and it feels much more solid than the Waring. The motor is also very quiet and it makes very short work of chopping whatever you throw into it. The mini bowl, which sits (after a bit of fiddling) on top of the larger bowl, looks a bit gimmicky, but it's really good for chopping small amounts of things like garlic.
The processor also comes with several other attachments, including juicer, a whisk, and a grater, none of which I've tried.
I liked the Waring a lot, but this processor is really a great deal better, at least for my purposes; it's weighty, more sturdily constructed, looks good and strikes me as better value for money.

If you are like me -- single, cook for one, don't have tons of kitchen space... THIS IS the one to buy! I absolutely LOVE it. It hums so quietly, yet powerfully pureeing your soups, sauces, and pestos. It's as the chef Gino D'Acampo would say: "Minimum effort, maximum satisfaction". Lexan construction is ever so strong and shatterproof. One other reason I bought this product was because the main blade is Sabatier, and I own one of their excellent bread knives. I had the 2.9litre Kenwood FP615 which was too big for me, and this little mini food processor is better designed despite being so compact. What a gem!
Seven months later, I would just like to add: the additional benefit of purchasing a Magimix® product is the excellent after-sales service. I had to have my juicer attachment replaced; at the same time,they kindly prompted me to check for any other damaged parts that might need replacing. I got my replacement part(s) within five days.
Top marks for food processing capabilities but the citrus press is a very weak aspect -- don't bother. Twice, the shaft of the plasic cones bored into the centre hole of the juicing bowl after 1/2 uses. As I say, Magimix® are very good in replacing damaged parts but I've now given up and bought the Chef'n Juicester Citrus Juicer / Reamer, Clear and Citrus.

An excellent addition to my kitchen. Easy to use and clean - a boon when chopping,slicing and preparing home made soups.
The accessories are neatly stored in the accompanying plastic box, and are easy to use - if you follow the instuctions carefully!!
Very robust and well-made - I wouldn't be without it.
